He is currently a professor of design department at Kangwon National University. He received his B.F.A. in animation from School of Visual Arts and  M.S. in Digital Imaging and Designs from New York University. He is well-versed in various aspects of digital art, design, and animation. He is mainly focusing on Real-Time 3D Rendering animation. This technology has many applications, including video game. He is the Deputy Director of the Bucheon International Animation Festival. In addition, he is engaged in various activities as a member of the Korean Society of Cantoon & Animation Studies, and The Korean Contents Association.
