David Tan graduated with a BA Honours Degree from Central Saint Martins College of Arts and Design (United Kingdom) in 2000 and postgraduate degree in Design Management from University of New South Wales, Australia, in 2008. Acquiring over a decade of industry experiences, he was a Creative Director in branding agencies between Singapore and Taiwan. In 2006, his online branding design was nominated for best self-promo in the Asia Interactive Awards. Subsequently in 2008, his article on Asian branding was published on the Design Management Institute Journal, Boston. He remains actively involved in branding and interdisciplinary projects, while conducting brand workshops to corporate companies. David is currently teaching at Media, Arts & Design School (MAD), Singapore Polytechnic. Besides being the Course Chair for the part-time Visual Communication programme, he also runs the MAD student agency, working on live projects with students from different specialisations between schools.
